Love You Dad!

How fabulous is this card?  So perfect for Dad right?

"Love You Dad" card

This week we are celebrating dear old dad here at Imaginisce, so I thought I would make a sweet little card for my hubby’s breakfast tray. You see every Fathers Day year the girls and I make my husband breakfast in bed, he knows it coming and I’m sure he’s been awake for a while but he plays along. Here is a look at the card.

I hope that I have inspired you to make a special card for the daddy in your life. Now I just have to let my little ladies sign (color) the inside.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Supplies:

Grandpa's are the Best!

If we're honouring Dads then we're also celebrating Grandpa's right?
That's what Jodi has done with this fabulous layout!

Grandpas's are the Best

I wanted to do a new twist on a Fathers Day Theme project, so I decided to create a layout for my Dad.  He is such an amazing Grandpa, and my kids have so much fun when they are around him! This photo on the layout is one that I took last summer with him giving tractor rides for Taylor!  Here is the layout

I decided to really accent the photo by adding a bling border at the top:

The journaling reads:

And finally I punched out three red hearts and I decided to use the negative space of the red hearts on the layout as well:

You are our World!

Sometimes finding that perfect gift for Dad can be a challenge.  Check out what Design Team member Amanda created!  You'll truly be inspired!

You are Our World Forever

I don't know about all of you, but one of the hardest people for me to buy and create for is my husband! He doesn't like a lot of fuss, and is happiest when he's home with us, or out in the woods. So...when it came time to create a father's day project, I struggled for a bit. Finally, I stumbled upon this tool box in the Silhouette store, and I knew immediately that this was it!

I kept this very simple, very him. The main part of the tool box was cut using some American Crafts gray cardstock. Then using a banner punch, I cut lots of little banner pieces using mulitple papers from the Perfect Vacation line, I layered them along the front of the tool box for some added color and interest. It needed something else yet, so I pulled out the "whole world" die cut from the Perfect Vacation line. Using some white cardstock, and coordinating letter stickers, I altered the sticker to better suite the project.

It still needed a little something else, so my oldest daughter gave me the great idea to string a banner across the top. Perfect addition!! We plan on filling this little gift box with some of his favorites snacks, and will add it in with his Father's Day present!!

Supply List:
Imaginisce: Papers, Die Cut (Perfect Vacation)
American Crafts: Adhesive, Cardstock, Twine

Dads Rock!

We're back today with another great card & gift idea for Dads!

"Dad" card

I don't know about all of you but buying things for my husband for Father's day or any other time is hard, but you I know I can't go wrong with something handmade because it is from the heart.

I made this cute little card and gift box with the help of my Silhouette Cameo.  The little pocket on the front holds a gift card.  I put an I-Tunes one in there because I know that is one thing my husband enjoys getting.

The little gift box is perfect for any of his favorite treats.  Don't you just love that mustache on the top?  It is what keeps the box closed.  I created both of these using the Perfect Vacation Collection.  The colors were perfect because they are masculine.

Supplies:
Imaginisce: Perfect Vacation Patterned Paper and 6x6 Paper Pad

Father's Day is just around the corner!

It's that time of year when we get to celebrate & honour our Dads!!  And our DT gals have created some super fun projects to share with you this week.  We're going to get started with Courtney's rocking' Father's Day card!

"Father's Day" card

HELLOOOO everyone! Court from Court’s Crafts here! I was SO excited to get a jump start on my Father’s Day cards. Hans is now the proud father of two little girls and I saw this cut file and just had to get it!

I put it in the middle of some of the perfect vacation line (don’t you just LOVE how they snuck some polka dots into a vacation line?!?) and cut it out.

I then trimmed it down to A2 size and put a mother-load (or should I say father-load?!?) of i-rock pearls all on the inside of the silhouette. I used both my i-rock and my mini iron - which Imaginisce used to make  - to make this happen. If you use your i-rock make sure to put fresh batteries in it so that the process goes much faster.

I stitched around the edge of the card  and tried not to keep it straight, but a little wonky. I was going for an “inked” feel without actually inking the card.

I added some May Arts Ribbon and stapled them in place with the Xyron/Teresa Collins Stapler.

Lastly I added my sentiment which is a sneak peek of a July release for Pink and Main and popped the panel up. I drew around the silhouette to give it a little more visual interest.

I hope you enjoyed my post for today and get going on making those Father’s Day cards early! It’s coming up in a couple of weeks! :)

Father's Day Inspiration - Day 5

Today we have Jennie McGarvey sharing a card with us.

I am excited to share with you this card!  When I think of Father's Day I always think of masculine colors and simple design.  I decided NOT to stray from that this year and put together a warm Father's Day card appropriate for any man in your life!  I found that the Outdoor Adventure papers were perfect!

Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Outdoor Adventure
From my stash: Cardstock, stamp, ink, button, and twine

Father's Day Inspiration - Day 2

Welcome back to another day of inspiration for Father's Day.

Today Guiseppa Gubler is sharing her work with us.

Coupon Book

Coupon books are always a good idea for Father's Day.  They are a perfect way for kids to give a inexpensive gift to Dad.  I thought that the Outdoor Adventure Collection was perfect to create a cute coupon book.  As I was making this coupon book...my hubby was telling me what coupons he would like to get, so some of these cater to him.  Funny man!

Father's Day Inspiration - Day 1

Father's play a huge role in a child's life and we want to celebrate & honour them this week.
Our talented Design Team have created some fabulous projects and we hope that you can gain some ideas of your own from their creations.

Today we have designer, Aimee Kidd sharing a super cute project.

Father’s Day Card and Treat Jar

My hubby loves to get homemade gifts from me and the kids. He's so awesome because he truly cherishes everything we make for him! So for part of his Father's Day gift, I made this adorable shirt card and a matching candy jar that is filled with his favorite candies! I figured he can sit this on his desk at work and have some sweets at his fingertips.

The card was so easy to make and I love how it turned out with all of the fabulous new Imaginisce papers! I used the bi-fold shirt card cut from Silhouette and it took me all of 2 minutes to put it together.

For the candy jar, I just added some of the strips from the new Outdoor Adventure collection along with a piece of May Arts ribbon, added a tag made from the banner stamp and some twine, then filled it up! So simple and easy and I know he's gonna love it!

Supplies Used:
Imaginisce – patterned papers (Outdoor Adventure, Childhood Memories, Good Dog), Stamp (Childhood Memories), Alphas (Outdoor Adventure)

Other – buttons (Wal-Mart), Silhouette, ribbon (May Arts), twine (The Twinery)
