Well, today marks the end of our Clicut feature this past month.  We hope that you've enjoyed the variety of creations that our Design Team has come up with and that learned how incredibly easy it is to use the Clicut Retractable Pen Knife.

I've made up many, many of these little altered houses over the years and have tried many different ways of cutting the paper...using the Clicut has been by far the easiest method yet!

 By laying the house onto the paper and cutting while turning the house, you get an even cut without gaps on one side or the other.  

For the roof, I punched the papers with a scalloped punch and then cut into strips using the Clicut, 14x14 i-mat and CutRight Acrylic Ruler.  

Covering the windows has always been a little tricky as well.  The Clicut cuts through paper like butter! 

Inside the windows I cut out a wreath from Candy Cane Forest Paper and the gingerbread boy and girl were also cut from the same paper.

Let's Clicut with Guiseppa!

Today we have Guiseppa Gubler sharing her Clicut project with us.

This is one awesome cutting tool.  I love to cut into my patterned papers and create my own embellishments.  This time I decided to make my own pattern on the patterned paper and then cut it out using the clicut.  

I started off by choosing my template and then tracing it onto my patterned paper.  Then using the I-Mat and the Clicut, I cut out my design.

After I was done cutting my design I used foam adhesive on the back and then adhered it to another piece of patterned paper.

Now I have a beautiful design I created in my patterned paper.  You can use templates or just freehand it.

Let's Clicut with Cari!

Hi there everyone!!!

I had so much fun creating these 2 cards using the Clicut retractable pen knife.  

I'm not a big xacto knife fan because I find it hard to maneuver ... plus they just plain scare me! 

But I absolutely love this tool! It is so easy and so much fun to use. 

For my 1st card I cut several strips of turquoise cardstock (approx 1/2" wide) using the Clicut and the Acrylic ruler on the 14x14 mat.

 

I then ran them all through my handy paper crimper.

I adhered the first layer of turquoise cardstock strips flat (all going the same direction).

The second layer of strips (going the opposite direction) I adhered with some Imaginisce foam tape that I just cut up into smaller pieces.

Supplies used: Imaginisce (Monster Mash collection:papers, chipboard, foam tape, Clicut); Core'dinations Colorcore Cardstock, May Arts (ribbon), paper crimper

My 2nd card I used the Clicut to cut out parts of the patterned paper. I then pop dotted that purple patterned paper onto some yellow polka dot paper.  

I also used the Clicut to cut out one of the bats from the patterned paper.  (that required a bit of patience though. :))

I used a Crafter's Workshop template and adhered it to some Imaginisce Makin' Waves paper using removeable adhesive. I then cut with the Clicut along the template's edge. 

I backed the cut out design with a different patterned paper.

Let's Clicut with Tiffany!

Today we have Tiffany Hood sharing a project that she created using the Clicut.

I've always wanted to make one of these "Tri Shutter Cards."  They're actually not complicated.  The Clicut and the i-Mat & CutRight Ruler make it easy!

Just cut a 5 1/2" x 12" piece of cardstock, then score in the shorter direction at 2", 4", 8" and 10".

Then you'll take your Clicut knife, and going in the longer direction, cut 1 1/2" from the left side from the 2" to the 10" mark. Repeat at 4" from the left side cutting from the 2" to the 10" mark.

Accordian fold the card and unfold.  Then re-fold the middle section in the opposite direction. (Google "Tri Shutter Card" or look it up on You Tube for a full tutorial)

Let's Clicut with Mary Ann!

Today we have Mary Ann Jenkins sharing a super fun card with us today using the Clicut.

I love the look of the "negative cutting" that so many scrappers are using on their projects, and I've used my die cutting machine with some great results. That was until last week when I was scrapping with some girlfriends at the park while our little ones played on the swings and slides. I wanted to do another negative cut, but didn't have my die cutting machine with me at the park. I decided to just leave that project until I was back home, until I got this awesome idea!

 

Using letter stickers as my guide, I cut around each letter with my Imaginisce Clicut Retractable Knife and my 8x8 i-mat.

 

I still got the great negative cut that I love so much!

 

I added a small scrap of orange chevron patterned paper behind the cut out letters, outlined the letters with a white pen, matted the paper on cardstock, then added it to the card base made out of more of the orange chevron paper. A cute little bat with some foam tape and my card was complete!

My most favorite craft supply is patterned paper with great images and my favorite scrappy technique is fussy-cutting! I think most of my craft projects have some sort of fussy cutting included.

 I absolutely love carving up a sheet of paper and using the images for many projects. So needless to say, I use my Clicut all the time!  It's really quick to carve the images using the Clicut, especially in those really tiny spaces. 

I created this holiday card using the Christmas Cheer poinsettia patterned paper.. they're so pretty!

I really love fussy cutting, and my detail scissors are my best friend. However, there are definitely times when they just don't cut it (lol). I love the Clicut for spaces that are enclosed, where scissors can't go - inside letters, in circles, etc. 

I also love how using the Clicut can alter the gorgeous Imaginisce die-cuts and give them a more elegant touch.You can use the Clicut to trim off some of the white and add more detail to your die-cuts, as I did here.

Today we have the talented Heather Leopard sharing a project that she created using the Clicut.

At Halloween time here in the U.S. the neighborhood kids like to "BOO" each other, at least here in our neighborhood. It usually consists of a little goody bag treat with a poem inside along with an "I've been boo'd" sign to put on your door. You don't say who it's from, you just leave it when no one is looking. Naturally, after we got boo's this year, I had to create a card for the basket. Seeing as how I'm the only crafty mama on the block I am sure they will figure out who it's from but I just couldn't resist.

I put the card together and then I used my Clicut and my cutting mat to trim the paper around the sides of the card after I adhered it. I also used my Clicut to make the word bubble. This is so trendy right now and I thought I'd give it a go. I simply cut out the letters and then I cut around them to form the bubble.

Today we have Designer, Regina Mangum sharing a beautiful Fall themed project 

using the Clicut.

I am a huge fan of using hobby blades when I create, and the Clicut has fast become my favorite! One of the things I use it for is to cut things that my paper trimmer has a hard time with, like strips of paper that are less than 1-inch wide. 

So, when I wanted to create some fun pumpkin placecard holders for Thanksgiving, I reached for the Clicut! 

I used the bright orange patterned paper from the Makin' Waves collection for the main body of the pumpkin and the vines and leaves from a b-side of Monster Mash. I think they'll make our holiday table very festive!

I used the Clicut tool to create the Lego blocks on this layout. 

I needed to make sure that I was able to line up the dots and measure the block before I assembled it. 

The Clicut, cutting mat and acrylic ruler came in handy in being able to measure these blocks accurately.

Hello and happy “fall” everyone! Can you believe, it’s upon us once again, Yay! I am so ready for it.  There's so much to love about fall. One of them is the beautiful colors of the changing leaves, my favorite season for sure,  there is something enchanting about it J. Truly makes me smile! So, what do you love about fall???

Today, I am excited to share with you this project/layout I created. Featuring this month is the

Imaginisce Clicut tool. If you do a lot of fussy cutting and wanted a precision cut, this tool is what you need to have. Very helpful and functional.

1.  I used a large letter sticker as a guide to make my own stencil; cut out each letter for the outline and attached them onto the paper as shown.

2. With the sharp Imaginisce Clicut tool and a steady hand, (which I don’t have J) cut out the letters over a self-healing mat (like the 14x14 Imaginisce mat. :))  The acrylic ruler will be helpful for those straight angles to make a clean cut.

3  Now, I have two words/titles to use on my projects.

4. I cut my pictures to put under the letters as shown which will be the focal point of my layout.

Let's Clicut with Rhonda!!

Throughout the month of October our Design Team will be featuring projects that they have created using the Clicut Retractable Pen Knife.  This little tool is absolutely perfect for your crafting project. There is no lid needed because it has a retractable blade, comes in this fabulous pink color and you get 2 replacement blades!

Greetings from Rhonda!

I'm excited to host the blog today and celebrate one of our newest tools with you!  I know that you're going to love the Clicut as much as we all do!!!  For my project today I used my Clicut along with our 14x14 iMat and the CutRight Acrylic Ruler.

I was inspired by the last challenge that we had to create a shaped project. My project idea was to create a large hexagon shape as the base for a Halloween sign for our front door or a layout. 

I'll show you how I created the initial step easily with card stock and then some Monster Mash paper.

Step 1:  Mark a 12x12 piece of card stock with a pencil at 6" on two opposite sides. 

Step 2:  Mark the remaining sides 3" in from each edge.  You'll have a total of 6 markings.

Step 3:  Using your CutRight Acrylic Ruler, line up the center marking with the first 3" pencil mark on the adjacent side and trim with the Clicut and the iMat under your project.

Step 4:  Continue trimming the remaining 5 cuts.

Step 5:  You are left with a hexagon shape.

I used this method to cut my second layer of the black pattern paper as well.  I started with a 10x10 piece of paper, marked at 5" on two opposite sides, then 2.5" on the remaining sides.  I used the "B" side of my paper for the bottom part of my sign layer.  The rest of the design came together effortlessly as the die cut and sticker elements in this line are so cute!  

Problem Solver:  The door I wanted to hang the sign on in our home is metal.  

Solution:  I created some Magnets using our magnet daddies and the iTop 2.0 to attach the sign to the door without having to use a door hanger.  Quick and easy!

Using the Clicut is comfortable, it fits nicely in your hand.  I also love how you are able to safely retract the blade and put it back in a safe position.  It's going to be one of your favorite new go-to tools for all of your crafting adventures!

Ingredients:  Clicut, imat 14x14, CutRight Acrylic Ruler, Monster Mash papers, Die Cuts and Canvas Stickers, iTop 2.0, 28mm (2) and 22mm (1) Magnet Daddies, iTop 28mm and 22mm punches, Pogo and Foam Tape by Imaginisce, card stock by Core'dinations, ink by Ranger.  Other:  Sewing Machine and Thread.
